On November 21st, Cross County hosted its annual Cougar Academy, commemorating student achievements in NSCAS testing scores. Parents were welcomed and encouraged to participate in the celebration. Students in grades 4-6 received their awards from Mr. Booth and their former teachers, while 7-11 students were honored with medals later in the afternoon by Mr. DeWitt and middle/high school staff. Adding a touch of distinction to the event, we were honored to have Nebraska District 24 Senator Jana Hughes as a special guest, presenting the prestigious gold medal winner awards. This tradition stands as a wonderful opportunity to applaud and recognize the accomplishments of our students at Cross County. Congratulations to all students who received awards. We are proud of your accomplishments.
