This past week, Team 5155E—Marshall and Sam—had the opportunity to compete at the VEX Robotics World Championship in Dallas, Texas. While the competition didn’t go quite as they had hoped, with a 3-7 record in qualifications and just missing out on the elimination rounds for the first time in their three years as partners, the experience was still a memorable and rewarding one. The team had a fantastic time, representing their school with pride and sportsmanship on the global stage.
We want to give a special shoutout and best wishes to our senior, Marshall, as he prepares for his next chapter. Thank you for your dedication and leadership throughout your time with the program!
This year also marks a big transition for our robotics team. Mr. Steskal, who has served as head coach and mentor, will be moving to a new district. He will certainly be missed.
Looking ahead, we are thrilled to announce that Ashton Holtzen—a former student, robotics competitor, and passionate mentor—will be stepping in as the new head coach for the program. We’re excited for what the future holds under his leadership!
At the World Championship, VEX also unveiled their brand new 2025-2026 game: Push Back. You can check out the game reveal video here:
