The Speech Team kicked off its season with an outstanding performance at the High Plains Meet this past week. With strong showings across multiple events, the team returned home with several awards and plenty of momentum as they head into the rest of their season.
Leading the way were Lily and Ella Cramer, who captured 1st place in Duet Acting with a tremendous performance!
Kylie Moore also delivered an impressive performance, earning 3rd place in Extemporaneous Speaking and 2nd place in Persuasive Speaking, showcasing her skills in multiple categories.
Both OID groups represented the team well:
“These Shining Lives” performed by Emarie Bowman, Lily Cramer, Olivia Philips, Olivia Tanda, and Selah Theis earned a 5th-place finish.
“Ghost Busters” performed by Atlee Schweitzer, Ella Cramer, Graycen Michel, Marivel Nyberg, and Naima Ramirez claimed 6th place.
This first outing highlights the talent of our students as they enter the season. The team’s next competition will be January 24 at Columbus Scotus, where they look to continue building on their success.
