CCO Wrestling

This year marked a historic moment for our program. For the first time in Cross County and CCO Twisters history, we had girls wrestling. Piyper, Audrey, Ema, and Aryn were the first four girls to for the team. They had an exciting and eventful season, making major improvements while gaining valuable experience along the way.

Ema made history as the first girl in Cross County and CCO Twisters history to qualify for State, finishing the season with an impressive 25–17 record. She will compete Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 PM at CHI.

On the boys’ side, we have three outstanding State qualifiers who have put in the work all season long. Jed Berggren battled his way to an impressive 26–7 record, showing consistency and toughness every time he stepped on the mat. Paxton Burke had a strong season, finishing 34–21 and proving he can compete with anyone in his bracket. Braden Nuttelman wrapped up the year 24–11, fighting hard in every match and earning his place at State.

All three placed 4th at Districts, earning their tickets to State.

Good luck to all of our wrestlers as they compete — we’re proud of the way you represent our school and community!
