The Cross County speech team competed in Grand Island and had a strong showing across multiple events. In Duet, Ella and Lily earned 3rd place, while Atlee and Marivel placed 17th. Naima placed 9th in Entertainment, and Kylie also placed 9th in Extemporaneous.
In Original Interpretation of Drama (OID), the team of Ella, Graycen, Marivel, Naima, and Atlee finished 4th, while Selah, Olivia P., Lily, Emarie, and Olivia T. placed 10th. In individual events, Lily earned 11th place in Humorous, Selah placed 12th in Serious, and Kylie placed 14th in Persuasive.
A special congratulations goes to Ema, who earned 1st place in Persuasive. Congratulations to all the members for their hard work and for representing our school so well at the meet. The Cougars will compete next at the CRC Conference meet, which will be hosted at Hampton next Wednesday, February 25.
